Busy Busy and Knit Nation

It’s been a busy few days here at Fibre Flurry HQ (aka my sofa and corner of the living room!)

I’m starting to see things really come together, and am getting even more excited about October!

I’m off to Knit Nation today, to have a good nosey (and possibly some stash enhancement!) and see lots of the exhibitors and tutors for Fibre Flurry!

I’m a list person, so have a packing list, a to do list, and a double checking list!

After Knit Nation, tickets for the workshops will go online, as well as more lovely exhibitors added to the list!

If any of you are going to Knit Nation,  Please do come say Hi if you see me – I’ll be wearing my Ravelry badge (Guinevere Star!)

I’m very excited to be able to confirm some of the workshops happening at Fibre Flurry!

Daniela Kloppmann
Spinning 101
Have you ever wanted to give spinning a whirl?
This workshop will cover the basics like different fibres, preparations, spinning tools & techniques but most of it will be hands on spinning. (Using a drop spindle)
Be warned – it’s addictive 🙂

Sarah Hughes
Colour Theory in Spinning
This class will cover basic colour theory, how to put colours together in a 2 and 3 ply yarn and how to make a self striping yarn.

Susan Crawford
Fabulous Finishing
Those finishing touches that really transform a garment plus clever little details that make a project special. Including bindings and trimmings, perfect buttonholes, hems, double knitting, hand knitted and crocheted buttons, knitted reinforcements!

There are more to come, but I’m so excited I wanted to let you know about these!
