Bank Holidays, Planning and Prizes

Well what a lovely weekend it’s been – here in Birmingham anyway.

This was sunrise on Sunday…such lovely colours!

We were lucky enough to have a great warm day today, so our planning meeting was held outdoors – with some great thinking food too! ;~)

If you follow me on twitter, you might have seen the new decoration in the Fibre Flurry office – a sheep from the Easyknits stand at Wonderwool! There’s more great stuff coming from Roy too!

Congratulations goes to Sue from the comments for getting the competition right – I wasn’t wearing my gloves at the Debonnaire stall (I think I’d taken them off to squish some yummy yarn!) Stitchmarkers will be on their way to her soon!

What have you been up to this weekend? Any new projects on the needles?

We’re back! We went to Wonderwool…

Well, the blogging bug didn’t seem to catch last time, but here we go again!

One of the great parts of running Fibre Flurry is that I have the perfect excuse to go to other yarn events and chat with fabulous stallholders. On the 27th and 28th April we headed down to lovely Builth Wells in Powys, to go to Wonderwool. Aswell as seeing friends and family, fondling all the yarn and drooling over the gorgeous colours there was  bit of time for business too!

We’re starting to announce the stallholders for this years Fibre Flurry, and we went to say hi to them…

We said Hello to…

Erica at Debonnaire!

Sarah at Purlescence!

What a beautiful bunch of stallholders to start us off eh?!

We had some great chats with our lovely stallholders, and saw some incredibly beautiful goodies.

We stayed so long that the car park looked like this on our way back: (it’s usually full to bursting!)

Mr Purlescence made a lovely balloon dog called spock…named so because of his first ear, his second ear, and final front-ear! (It was funny at the time!)

I’ll sign off with a little competition…the first person to comment with the correct answer will receive a lovely set of 8 handmade stitch markers in a colour of their choice!

Which photo (excluding the one of the car park!) is the odd one out and why?!
