FFF – The re-jig!

This was included in our latest newsletter sent last night, but I thought I would post it here too.

If you’d like to subscribe to the newsletter, enter your details on the contact page here.

Due to popular demand – and to make the event more affordable – we have tinkered with the line up of the Fibre Flurry Frolick.

Please see below for the changes and new details.

Tickets cost £20 – this includes the talks, music, raffle entry and your goody bag.

Fibre Flurry Frolick – an evening of relaxing with friends old and new, talks, live music, and supporting charity!
The evening will start at 6pm with time to relax and unwind from the day of workshops and shopping (and of course knit/crochet/spin) and enjoy a lovely drink from the bar – which will be open all night.

Kicking off the evening will be talks from Amy Singer and our two chosen charities (who we’re donating all the profits of the evening to.)

Amy Singer’s talk is about the founding of Knitty.com – everyone will have a chance to ask any questions they have for Amy, and there may well be some brilliant surprises! “Knitty launched in 2002 — 11 years ago! — when the web was very different from the bloggy-Twitter-Ravelry-infused online knitting world we have today. Learn about how Knitty began, why it works the way it does, and heaps of other insider tidbits from the Editor/Publisher [and the woman who started Knitty], Amy Singer.”

We will also be having talks from our two chosen charities – QEHBC and p/hop – The reason we’re having talks from the two charities we are supporting this year is two-fold, one of course is to raise awareness and find out more about them, but it’s also because we are donating all the profits from the evening to the two charities. So as well as spending the evening with lovely people, and listening to great music and winning fabulous prizes, you’re also supporting charity! (win-win I’d say!)

The new Frolick still includes some fantastic musical entertainment from Halo Haynes – one of the midlands great up and coming musicians.

There will be competitions throughout the night, as well as a ticket raffle (your entry ticket is automatically entered into a draw) with prizes including a namaste bag, a fabulous custom knitted shawl and other lovely things.

As part of the evening, you will also receive a ‘goody bag’ – a custom-made, exclusive project bag full of a kit of useful things for knitters and crocheters – this will include stitch markers, needles and hooks, patterns, beads and more! (Sneaky peek photo below!)

There are of course limited places to attend the Frolick, but I hope to share this lovely evening and all the splendour it will contain with you!

Dress Code: Whatever makes you feel great!
